General questions

Pricing, brands and how we work.

Do you offer same-day service?
Yes. We keep time free every day for urgent repairs, and same-day slots open every morning in online booking. For no-heat or no-cooling emergencies, call our 24/7 line.
How much does a service call cost?
A diagnostic visit is a flat fee shown when you book. After diagnosis you get fixed-price options, and the diagnostic fee is credited to the repair if you go ahead. Estimates for new systems are free.
Should I repair or replace my system?
We show you both, honestly. As a rule of thumb, consider replacing a furnace older than 15 years or an AC older than 12 when a repair costs more than a third of a new system. Our comfort advisors earn no commission.
Which brands do you service?
We service and repair almost every brand of furnace, air conditioner, heat pump, boiler and water heater. For uncommon equipment, we confirm parts availability before your visit.
Are your technicians licensed and insured?
Yes. Our technicians are employees with TSSA gas licences, 313A refrigeration certificates and electrical licensing where required. We carry $5 million in liability insurance and full WSIB coverage.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, on approved credit, with 0% promotions for 12 months on larger systems and terms up to 10 years. We also check and apply for every rebate your home qualifies for.

Maintenance

Tune-ups, plans and filters.

How often should my system be serviced?
Once a year for each system: furnaces in the fall and air conditioners in the spring. Heat pumps work year-round, so we recommend two visits a year.
How do maintenance plans work?
Buy a plan in our shop and we will call within one business day to book your first tune-up. Plans renew yearly and can be cancelled at any time.
Does maintenance affect my warranty?
Most manufacturers require yearly professional maintenance to keep the warranty valid. Every tune-up comes with a dated report you can keep as proof.
How often should I change my filter?
Check it monthly. Replace 1-inch filters every 1–3 months and 4- or 5-inch media filters every 6–12 months, more often with pets or during renovations.

Emergencies

After-hours calls and safety.

What counts as an emergency?
No heat in cold weather, no cooling in extreme heat, a water heater leak, a gas smell (after calling the gas utility from outside) or a carbon monoxide alarm (after calling 911).
How much does emergency service cost?
Our dispatcher quotes a flat emergency fee on the phone before a technician is sent. Maintenance plan members never pay overtime, evening or weekend fees.
How fast can you arrive?
In the core service area our average emergency arrival time is 90 minutes. In heavy storms we prioritise homes without heat with vulnerable occupants and plan members.
What if a part has to be ordered?
Our trucks carry more than 300 parts, so this is rare. If it happens, we lend you electric space heaters and fast-track the part, usually within 24 hours.

Financing & rebates

Payments and incentives.

Who qualifies for heat pump rebates?
Eligibility depends on your current heating fuel, your home and the current programs. We check it during your free estimate and tell you exactly what you can expect.
How long do rebates take?
Most rebates arrive 8 to 12 weeks after the paperwork is submitted. We submit applications for you and keep you updated.
Will applying for financing affect my credit?
Pre-qualification uses a soft check that does not affect your credit score. A full credit check only happens when you accept an offer.
Can I pay off my loan early?
Yes. All our financing plans can be paid off at any time with no prepayment penalties.
