A converted factory loft with exposed brick and no ducts, heated and cooled room by room with four quiet ductless heads.
A converted factory loft with 4-metre ceilings and exposed brick had baseboard heaters and no cooling. The owners wanted comfort without hiding the architecture behind bulkheads.
What we did
We installed a four-zone ductless heat pump with wall heads placed for even airflow, routed the line sets inside a single painted chase and mounted the outdoor unit on a wall bracket above the snow line.
The result
- Year-round comfort in every room, controlled from a phone
- Baseboard heaters retired, with heating bills down by 52%
- Installed in two days with no ceiling work
