What happens at a tune-up

A 21-point inspection for heating, and another for cooling. You get a written report with photos.

Clean and inspect burners, check the heat exchanger for cracks and measure combustion for safe, efficient heat.

Test flue draft and carbon monoxide levels at the appliance and in the living space.

Check refrigerant charge, clean the outdoor coil and inspect the indoor coil for dirt and corrosion.

Tighten connections, test capacitors and contactors, and calibrate the thermostat.

How often should my system be serviced?

Once a year for each system: furnaces in the fall and air conditioners in the spring. Heat pumps work year-round, so we recommend two visits a year.

How do maintenance plans work?

Buy a plan in our shop and we will call within one business day to book your first tune-up. Plans renew yearly and can be cancelled at any time.

Does maintenance affect my warranty?

Most manufacturers require yearly professional maintenance to keep the warranty valid. Every tune-up comes with a dated report you can keep as proof.

How often should I change my filter?

Check it monthly. Replace 1-inch filters every 1–3 months and 4- or 5-inch media filters every 6–12 months, more often with pets or during renovations.
